“weRE DOING IT!”

It started as a mindless thing John would yell out in the back of the house during every event, a couple of summers ago. …Now it’s like an “anthem” at our company.

For my staff “We’re doing it!” is something they say passing each other with a tray of dishes on their shoulder at the end of dinner service, or while “flipping a room” at 2:00 am. 

For John and I, it captures a lot more... 

It’s the feeling you get when a bride tells you at the end of the night that you just gave her the wedding of her dreams. 

Or chartering into new “event territory” every year during Super Bowl, feeling overwhelmed, but when the parties are over, knowing you just pulled off something very few companies could have managed. 

It’s the rhythmic feeling of confidence that you have at the start of each week in your company’s ability to execute almost flawlessly because you believe in what a great team you have, and the strong processes you have worked so hard to put in place.  Also, it’s understanding the level of trust your client is putting in you …because there are no “second chances” in the event business.

And finally, it is the commitment we have as owners to deliver an exceptional event experience, every time, never getting tired of watching our hard work come to life over the extent of a long-anticipated weekend.

JPS Events was started as a “husband & wife team” in 2002. As owners, but also as parents, we are now blessed to have our daughter Cassidy working with us as a full-time manager. Our two sons, Bill and Adam, also work for the company on a part-time basis, as do our extended family, our friends, and even our kids’ friends! We are supported by the most dedicated, hard-working team of considerate professionals, many of whom have been with us for years. Having the people that you love and care the most about help you fulfill your goals and dreams leads to the greatest feeling of accomplishment anyone could ever ask for.

While stressful and exhausting sometimes, owning JPS Events has turned out to be a completely joyful and exciting adventure for our family. We all truly LOVE our work, and we are nothing but EXCITED to see where it takes us, and YOU, next!
